I   Alternative Available Channels
Funds sent to the seminary to help cover student tuition are assembled in one account for  equitable distribution among eligible Master of Divinity (M/Div) and Certificate candidates. However, there are opportunities to choose categories that are particularly meaningful to donors.

   These are:

       1) Student financial Aid

This permits contributions of any size and frequency. Any contribution not designated                 for one of the other choices are credited to this fund. No form is required. But, for this                 project, contributors are urged to indicate on the check or in some other manner the                 name of  his/her congregation.

       2) Adopt-A-Student program
This permits a direct link-up of a contributor with a particular student chosen
by the seminary. Communication with the student instills a feeling of closeness                 between the donor and the student/seminary. This course requires an application                 form. (see website or church office)  It describes the program in some detail and                 contains several boxes for indicating  amounts and frequency of payments. The                 choices for giving level ranges from $500 per year to $18,900 (presently full tuition at St                 Louis). To accommodate annual gifts below $500, per person, small groups  may be                 formed. One of the group is identified correspondent to handle communications on                 group matters including with the student. Individual members are sent receipts for                 tax filing purposes.

       3) Memorial and Honorarium Gifts
On the respective certificates a donor may designate “student tuition” as recipient. The                 donor may send notice of contribution to the Bereaved or Honoree or the seminary                  may be requested to do so.

       4) Food Banks to assist students.
Donations in kind (non-perishable foods and toiletries) as well as cash are                 welcome.
